Returns Policy

At Talex Interiors we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. We understand however that occasionally you may want to return items. Here is everything you need to know about returns and refunds.

Cancelling your order

If you wish to cancel your order prior to delivery, you can do this by email at talexinteriors@gmail.com within 3 hours of placing the order. We aim to package all stock orders on the same day to dispatch them as soon as possible. If your order has already been dispatched, you should refuse to sign for the parcel, and it will be returned to us.

Returning your product because you’ve changed your mind

Under the EU Directive on Consumer Rights June 2014, you have 14 calendar days from receipt to change your mind and return the item. Please note, you will receive a full refund of the item and postage, but you will be responsible for paying the return postage costs. This complies with the UK’s Distance Selling Regulations and the stipulation that the entire order must be returned.

If you would like to return a product you have purchased, please contact us (talexinteriors@gmail.com) in advance to let us know that you will be returning the item. Please return your item unused and in the original packaging as it was received by you (including all labels and tags intact) within 14 calendar days after the date of delivery. Upon receipt of the returned item, we will give you an exchange or full refund, as long as your returned product meets our terms and conditions.

Some types of goods are exempt from being returned for a refund unless faulty – see the list below.

Making an exchange

To exchange an item, return the unwanted item and place a new order online for the product you’d like.

There are some products which we can’t exchange unless faulty or damaged – see the list below.

Returning a damaged or faulty item

Any damages to your order must be notified to us within 72 hours of receipt by email at talexinteriors@gmail.com. The damaged item should be returned to us for an exchange or a full refund (including postage charges). It will expedite a resolution if you can include photographs of the damaged item and packaging. In all cases, please do not throw away any packaging as photographic proof of parcel and content damage is required by Royal Mail. If the item you purchased was damaged in shipment, you are entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price for the goods, including the original postage and packaging charges made. Alternatively, you may wish to exchange your items.

If the item you purchased was faulty or you think the item was not as described in the item description, please contact us first (talexinteriors@gmail.com) before requesting a refund as we may be able to resolve your problem to your satisfaction. For faulty items, contact must be made within 14 calendar days to inform of the fault and for details on returning your items. We will refund the cost incurred in returning the items to us in the event of a faulty product. We will send an exchange or refund you for your purchase, provided the returned items are received back in their original condition and packaging.

How to return

The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. We cannot be responsible for damages on its return journey. Therefore for your protection, we recommend that you use adequate packaging and send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you of the value of the goods. We suggest you obtain proof of posting when returning items. We cannot be held responsible for items that fail to reach us, and we cannot refund goods which we have not received.

Customers returning their orders will be responsible for all costs associated with returning their orders unless otherwise arranged.

Refunds

All orders must be returned in a fully resalable condition. We will refund you for your purchase, provided the returned item is received back in its original “as-new” condition, and the purchased product is not on the list of non-refundable items. Talex Interiors reserves the right to refuse a refund on items deemed not to be resalable.

If you return your item within 14 calendar days in a resalable condition, we will issue a full refund of the item and initial postage charges (if applicable). Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, we will only refund standard delivery charges if the entire order is returned. We will not be responsible for your costs in returning the item unless it is faulty or damaged.

We’ll refund the person who originally placed and paid for the order. You will be credited to your original payment method within 48 hours of receiving the item back. An email will be sent to the email address you used when placing your order to confirm the refund has been processed. It can take up to 3 days for the bank to transfer the funds to you.

The following products will not be eligible for exchange or refund

  • Unwanted items are returned after 14 days from the day of receipt.
  • Damaged items are not notified to us by email within 72 hours of receipt.
  • Products that have been returned in poor condition.
  • Products without original packaging or labels.
  • Items that have been personalised for you, or made to your specific requirements, or cut-to-order (this is for fabric orders).

This does not affect your statutory rights.
